Recovering Wellness: Helping People with Late Life Depression.
A course for family and ohana caregivers for older adults, presented by Project Oasis, University of Hawaii. Faculty: Heather Jablonski, LCSW, CSAC; Douglas Kreider, MA, MPH.
Free course given on Wednesdays, October 15 & 22 & 30, 6-8:30pm at Oahu Veterans Center, 1298 Kukila St. in Honolulu.
Also on Saturdays, October 18 & 25 9am to 12:30pm at Central Union Church, 1660 S. Beretania St.

A free workshop for donor families (survivors of organ and tissue donation). The Gifts of Grief is a powerful film about the possibility of another side of suffering with compelling stories of people who have experienced deep loss including writer Isabel Allende, and found a way to transform grief into a greater appreciation of life.

"Children's Lives Include Moments of Bravery (CLIMB)"
Thursdays, January 15 - February 5, 2009, 6 to 7:30pm at Queen's Conference Center, Queen's Medical Center.
Arts & Crafts program designed to help children of cancer patients cope with the emotional stress the disease can cause in their families.
